As an entrepreneur, Jessica is passionate about supporting and building economic capacity for women of color through STEM education. She is the founder and Executive Director of sySTEMic flow, an organization aiming to advance STEM learning for Black women and girls in Boston. She recently earned her MBA at the Heller School with a concentration in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Management and was elected as the student commencement speaker of her class. Prior to graduate school, she served as a Commonwealth Corps member for the Upward Bound Program as an Assistant Advisor where she taught enrichment courses to students and was responsible for fundraising initiatives for the organization. She also worked at UMass Amherst as an Assistant Manager of Operations implementing and managing student projects, events and financial accounts. Jessica has worked across various disciplines and has experience in and knowledge of client management, organizational assessment, and project management. Currently, Jessica is a Community Facilitator for Girls Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, Internship Coordinator at the Waltham Partnership for Youth and event coordinator at Humility Church of God. She is a Boston native and holds a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics & Statistics and Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
